Shot routine for hitting billiard balls
Do this routine until it comes out automatically.
It is the basis that every beginner pool player should learn to do super well when executing a shot in billiards.
Visualize where you want the cue ball after executing the shot.
- Put chalk before each shot
Get into position and stand in shooting line
- Now lower your body and keep your eyes on the ball point (where you are going to hit).
- Now get comfortable and adjust your aim
- Take a deep breath, inhale and exhale a couple of times.
- Pause and check that everything is ok, at this point you must be confident in executing the shot correctly, if you are not confident, get up and start again.
- Before executing the shot, concentrate on your target ball, your eyes right on the ball spot.
- Now execute the shot
- Stay in the same position without moving after the shot.
- Observe and draw your conclusions, the cue ball should be where you visualized it.
- If you do not get the desired result, start again and practice a lot until you have mastered it.
Billiard Table Terms
These are the pool table names or terms that every pool player should know.

The biggest challenge in billiards is to visualize the shooting line where the cue ball will hit the ball spot that will make contact with the object ball.
The ball spot or ghost ball is the exact spot where the cue ball must hit to pocket the object ball when executing the shot.
