Why do I feel blocked in billiards?

Share:

Mental block is when you feel paralyzed and do not allow you to act, because of some problem or fear.

Fears can be internal or external.

Before playing billiards, face your fears or problems and look for a solution, because otherwise you will only think about it perpetually.

If something is bothering you, solve those problems before going to the billiard table so that your mind is clear.

If you are at the pool table, take a deep breath and forget about everything around you, it’s just you, the pool table and the balls.

It is difficult at first, however, you must try.

You must stop saying negative words to yourself like:

  • I am blocked
  • I can’t think clearly
  • I can’t move forward

Because your brain will obey you.

Your brain says well, okay, I’m blocked and it will stay in that position.

When you are at home or a quiet place, ask yourself these questions:

  • How can I resolve it?
  • What do I do to solve it?
  • What options do I have?

Whatever you tell yourself negative, the brain believes it, so be very careful with this.

How can you solve this blockage?

  • Find a solution
  • Sleep, many times you need to rest because your mind is very tired.
  • Exercise, move your body
  • Drink water, do breathing exercises
  • Watch your diet, eat more proteins and vitamins.
  • Anything more profound? Meditate and be confident that things will work out.

If you have any other problems you can talk to someone and you will feel much better.

When you are going through a difficult situation in pool, do this:

Many times the blockage comes from our conversations with ourselves.

First of all stop saying and thinking, I feel like I’m blocked or something similar, because the brain believes what you say and think.

The second step is to find out deep down what it is that makes you feel this way.

Write these questions down on a piece of paper and define it, right now:

  • What is blocking me?
  • What external situations are causing me to lose focus?
  • What is the reason(s) that makes me play less now?
  • What were you doing before that you are not doing now?
  • What can I do to improve this situation?

I recommend you to solve all these situations, because they make us think too much.

By removing those obstacles our mind will be free and you are sure to be better than before.

Finally, set short-term goals.

For example you say, today I am going to pocket 3 balls in a row, depending on the game you are playing.

You focus on that until you have it mastered.

The next day you say, today I am going to pocket 5 balls in a row and so on.

In addition to these goals, set other goals to challenge yourself, for example:

I am going to win the championship of my city and while you are achieving it, you increase the degree of difficulty.

You will see that little by little you will surpass yourself and you will be better.
