After testing many different chalks over the years, I can confidently say that Glygen Great Shot is the one I use every day and, in my opinion, the best pool chalk on the market. In fact, it has performed even better for me than other well-known brands like Kamui.

I currently use all three versions of Great Shot: the green Snooker chalk and the two blue Pool versions, each designed to deliver maximum performance for its specific discipline.

What I like most is the incredible grip it provides between the cue tip and the cue ball, greatly reducing miscues while delivering outstanding consistency on every shot. In one of my tests, I made more than 30 consecutive shots without reapplying chalk and didn’t experience a single miscue.

Another feature I absolutely love is its magnetic system. It comes with a powerful magnet that fits inside your trouser pocket, while another magnet is built into the bottom of the chalk. This lets you carry it securely on your pocket without needing a separate chalk holder—it’s incredibly practical.

It also features tear guides that make it easy to remove the paper wrapper as the chalk wears down, a small detail that shows the level of thought put into its design.

To top it all off, it keeps your hands, cue, balls, and cloth remarkably clean, which is something you’ll really appreciate after spending several hours at the table.

If you’re looking for the highest level of performance and want to use professional-grade chalk, this is the one I personally recommend.
